Summer school provides a method for students to recover credit for courses that were failed during the prior school year. Summer school is typically held in June/July and courses are completed online.
This summer, students who choose to attend Summer School will be able to do so through the Lincoln Edge Summer School Program.
Students are able to take one core content area course (English, Math, Science or Social Studies) in a credit recovery format; meaning that it is a course that they previously did not pass. Summer School courses will not be permitted for original credit (taking a course that they have not yet taken). Students will be able to enroll in one summer school course. If they wish to take two, they will need to have prior approval from SWHS Administration. The summer school program is from June 5th through June 30th. The cost of each course is $170 and payment is the responsibility of the student and their family.
Applications are now open. If a student has a question about which core course they are able to enroll in for this summer, please have them reach out to their high school counselor or administrator. Please use the link below to access information from Lincoln Edge about the Summer School program and how to register and submit payment.
