Please note that the process for registering and paying for AP Exams has changed from previous years. All students enrolled in an AP class that meets in the Fall or is a Yearlong course will need to register and pay (at least a $40 deposit per exam) by November 1st. 2019. Students enrolled in an AP class that only meets in the Spring will need to register by March 5th, 2020.

Sending Your AP Scores/Why Should I Send My AP Score(s) to Colleges?
Find colleges and universities that offer credit or placement for AP scores. For the most up-to-date AP credit policy information, be sure to check the institution’s website

What students must bring on test day
Several sharpened
No. 2 pencils
(with erasers) for all responses on their multiple-choice answer sheet
Pens with black or dark-blue
ink
for completing areas on the exam booklet covers and for free-response questions in most exams
Their own
school's code
if they are testing at a school different from the one they regularly attend. Home-schooled students will be provided with their state's or country's home-school code at the time of the exam
A watch
that does not beep or have an alarm (in case the exam room does not have a clock that can be easily seen).
Up to two approved calculators
with the necessary capabilities if they are taking an AP Biology, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Chemistry, Physics, or Statistics Exam. Students should visit
apstudent.collegeboard.org/apcourse
to find the calculator policy for their subject.
A ruler or straightedge
only if they are taking an AP Physics Exam (Protractors are not allowed.)
Their
AP Student Pack
. If they do not attend the school where they are taking the exam, they should also bring a government-issued or school-issued photo ID.
Social Security number (for U.S. Citizens)
** for identification purposes (optional). If students provide their number, it will appear on their AP score report.
If applicable, their
SSD Student Accommodation Letter
which verifies that they have been approved for a testing accommodation such as Braille or large-type exams.
* Additional ID may be requested by authorized test centers outside the U.S.
** Some colleges and universities use Social Security numbers as student identifiers when assigning AP credit or advanced placement for qualifying AP scores. While the College Board does not require students to provide their Social Security number, they may want to check with the college or university where they are sending scores to see if they prefer for students to provide a Social Security number on their AP Exam answer sheet.
What students must leave at home
Electronic equipment:
(cell phone, smart phone, laptop, tablet computer, etc.), portable listening or recording devices (MP3 player, iPod, etc.), cameras or other photographic equipment, devices that can access the Internet, and any other electronic or communication devices
Unapproved aids:
Books, compasses, protractors, mechanical pencils, correction fluid, dictionaries, highlighters*, notes or colored pencils*
Rulers, straightedges and protractors
(except students taking the AP Physics Exams)
Scratch paper

notes can be made on portions of the exam booklets or, for Chinese Language and Culture and Japanese Language and Culture, on scratch paper provided by the proctor
Watches that beep
