ASVAB

ASVAB-Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery

ASVB Dates for 2023-2024

September: 9/28/23           March: 3/28/2024

The ASVAB  is a multiple choice test, administered by the United States Military Entrance Processing Command.  It is used to determine qualification for enlistment in the United States armed forces.

Students who are not interested in enlisting in the military can also take the test to help with Career Exploration.  The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is a tool to help students identify and explore potentially satisfying occupations and to develop effective strategies to realize their career goals.  The ASVAB will provide the student with career exploration scores that they can use to help determine readiness for further education and training in different career areas.  Knowing academic strengths and weaknesses now can give students time to work to improve on them before they start a job, begin college or vocational school, or enter the military.

There is no cost for a student to take the test. This year's ASVAB testing will be offered at South Western High School on date TBD.  Students in grades 10-12 can sign up in the guidance office.
