Dual enrollment is a program that allows high school students (typically juniors and seniors) to enroll in college courses taught by college professors at a higher education institution for credit prior to high school graduation. College credits earned through dual enrollment can be simultaneously applied toward high school and college graduation and can be transferred to other colleges or universities. It is important that students look at transfer agreements and consider their potential college major when determining if the college credit while in high school will indeed transfer. Dual enrollment courses are listed on high school transcripts when taken at an approved institution. However, courses do not receive letter or percentage grades, rather they will be listed as Pass/Fail and excluded from high school GPA calculation. South Western High School has Dual Enrollment agreements with specific higher education institutions: Please check with your school counselor for the most up do date list.
